AWE Learning Station now available at the library
We have something new at the Lake Park Public Library for kids! It's called the AWE Learning Station! The Early Literacy Station (ELS) is designed specifically for our youngest patrons ages 2-8 and features over 4,000 localized learning activities. The fun, interactive and engaging content spans all seven curricular areas: math, science & nature, social studies & geography, reading, art & music, writing & computer skills, and reference. Be sure to stop by and let the kids try it out!
Donations needed for renovations to basketball and tennis courts
We are working to raise funds to renovate the tennis and basketball courts in the city park. Funds raised will be used to resurface the courts and install a new fence, basketball hoops, tennis court net and utility poles.
It is exciting to announce that in September, the Dickinson County Endowment Fund awarded the City of Lake Park $10,000 to update and resurface the tennis & basketball courts. Our goal to finish the project is $20,000.
If you would like to make any donations toward this project, please contact Marie at the Lake Park City Hall at 712-832-3527.
